What really is the value of AI influencers?

What really, is the value of an #AIinfluencer? Most of the ones i've seen (Kyra, Tia etc.) are largely models wearing human skin. Good, I suppose for reach and product demonstrations but I would hardly call them 'influential' (in the original sense of the word, not 'anyone with 1000+ followers on Insta' 🙄). Some others like Naina seem to be essentially deep fakes, so they feel a bit more human than the others and at the same time a bit more creepy (imo) (also I wonder what the human person who acts and performs for Naina is feeling right now?)

But I have to wonder if the impersonation (trying to be as human as possible) actually serves the audience at all. People generally tend to like 'real' people with real opinions, ideas, flaws, weirdness etc. That's who you build a relationship with. In fact aren't the most loved AI/ robot characters in movies all essentially 'themselves' - (Wall-E, Jarvis, R2D2, etc.).? They have the 'human-ness' we love (emotions, flaws, weirdness) without the human skin and with the magic of technology, that literally only machines have. They aren't impersonating, they are who they are.

Personally I think the internet needs content that is less generic and more special. AI influencers currently seem to all be in the zone of cheaper, 'easier to deal with' alternatives to humans with neither the emotional depth and magnetism of a human being nor the magic of AI tech. In one word, BORING.
